#27 - Day 257

I haven't stepped foot past my back patio in about a month for 2 reasons:

1. It's been raining a lot, so I don't want to track mud throughout my house.
2. If you don't see the overgrown lawn, it doesn't exist.

This evening I worked up my courage to walk through the jungle that is my backyard.
Found this funky flower growing on something I'm pretty sure is a weed/bush type thing.

That tells how much a green thumb I have... I can't even tell the difference between weeds and flowers! I water things and trim them when they start to creep into the sidewalks. That's the extent of my expertise.

And that, my friends, is what grass looks like after a month (OK, maybe longer) of not mowing.

Of all the housekeeping chores, mowing is definitely my least favorite. Even though my yard is teeny tiny, it's impossible to not get sweaty and dirty while mowing a yard of any size.

I'm basically posting this scary/embarrassing pic so that I will be motivated to mow during my 4 day weekend (Whoop!). All the while, in the back of my mind, I am crossing my fingers that it rains so it's too wet to mow! Procrastination at it's finest!

What's your least favorite chore?

Man, good luck mowing that one! My lease favorite chore is a toss up between cleaning the bathrooms and doing the laundry... and cooking... cleaning... pretty much anything that involves moving!

I really REALLY hate folding laundry. I always make my husband help me. It makes it go faster when I have someone to talk to.

Beth: Despite your distain for housework, I have never seen your house dirty! Not even dirty dishes in the sink! You'd think you were raised by MY mom instead of Marilea!

Chelsea: I don't mind folding the laundry. i will fold it as I pull it out of the dryer...I just have a weird habit of not putting it away! So it usually sits on top of my dryer until I realize I need to do laundry again.

Lauren: God bless the person who invented the dishwasher!

Haha thanks Abby! I try (and Bradley helps)! I think being raised by my mom made me decide I never want my house like that and I became an organization freak. Plus I feel like I have a nice house so I should keep it nice.
